Our story

Named for Betty. Built for joy.

{She would have loved every single one of these houses.}

How Betty's Beachside began

For years, this collection of oceanfront homes on the Central Oregon Coast was known as The Oregon House — a beloved landmark that guests returned to again and again. When we had the dream opportunity to purchase it from its longtime owner David, we felt the full weight of that legacy. We didn't take it lightly.

We're a family business, and family means everything to us. We have a tradition of naming our properties for the people who matter most to us — as a way to honor them and carry their spirit forward. When we were first considering buying The Oregon House, we brought Kate's mom along for a walk-through. She came to the coast, walked the property, and fell in love with it just as we had. Sadly, she passed away before she ever got to see the transformation.

Her name was Betty. She was a force of good in the world — sunny, positive, kind, wise, witty, adventurous, and deeply loved by everyone who knew her. Renaming this place in her memory felt not just right, but necessary. Betty's Beachside is our way of honoring her legacy and keeping some of her joy alive at a property she adored. We are proud and happy to do so.

What we stand for.

Real homes, not rentals

Every property is stocked, maintained, and loved like someone actually lives there — because someone did.

Oceanfront, always

We don't do 'ocean view from the roof if you lean.' Every Betty's property has unobstructed water in front of it.

Obsessively maintained

We inspect every property between every stay. If something's broken, we fix it before you arrive. No exceptions.

Central Coast locals

We know every restaurant, trail, tide pool, and hidden beach on the Central Oregon Coast. Ask us anything.

The Central Oregon Coast
The Central Oregon Coast

Why here? Because nowhere else comes close.

The Central Oregon Coast — stretching from Lincoln City to Florence — is the most dramatic stretch of Pacific coastline in the lower 48. Towering sea stacks, tide pools teeming with life, miles of uncrowded beach, and sunsets that look like someone turned up the saturation.

It's also genuinely wild. Whale migrations, storm watching, bioluminescent waves in late summer. The kind of nature that reminds you how small you are in the best possible way.
